About the Competition Organiser – Centre for Labour Laws, NLIU Bhopal

The National Technology & Competition – Labour & Employment Law Writing Competition 2026 at NLIU Bhopal is organised by the Centre for Labour Laws (CLL), National Law Institute University, Bhopal in collaboration with Trilegal’s Labour and Employment Team. This national-level competition aims to encourage rigorous academic discourse on the rapidly evolving intersections of labour law, competition policy, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data governance and algorithmic workforce management.

Through this competition, participants are offered a rare opportunity to engage with contemporary legal challenges that redefine the future of work, corporate restructuring and digital labour markets. The two-phase evaluation model ensures high academic standards, combining editorial excellence with live presentation exposure before senior Trilegal members and leading academicians. This initiative is ideal for students seeking to sharpen research, policy analysis, and academic writing skills while gaining recognition at a national forum.


About the Competition Opportunity

The competition is structured into two rigorous phases.

Phase I – Manuscript Submission & Editorial Review:
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a four-stage double-blind peer review conducted by the CLL Editorial Board and the Trilegal Labour & Employment Team.

Phase II – Presentation & Defence Round:
The top 15 shortlisted authors will be invited to NLIU Bhopal on 08 March 2026 to present and defend their research before a panel comprising senior Trilegal professionals and eminent academicians.

Eligibility & Requirements

This competition is open to students pursuing LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B., or LL.M. from any recognised university for the academic year 2025–2026. Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors. All manuscripts must include a 250–300 word abstract, strictly follow the OSCOLA 4th Edition citation style, and maintain a similarity index below 15%. Submissions must be in MS Word format using Times New Roman font with the prescribed spacing and formatting standards.
