Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur is inviting abstracts for its 2nd Corporate Law Summit to be held virtually in November 2026.

About Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (DNLU) was established in 2018 under the Madhya Pradesh National University Act, 24 of 2018. The University focuses on legal education, professional ethics, advocacy skills, research and the dissemination of legal knowledge.

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance (CCLG) at DNLU aims to serve as a multidisciplinary forum for research, analysis and discussion on emerging issues in corporate law and governance in India and around the world.

About the Opportunity

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance, Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur is organising the 2nd Corporate Law Summit 2026 on November 21 and 22, 2026.

The summit will bring together scholars, practitioners, policymakers and students to present research and discuss contemporary developments in corporate and insolvency law. The programme will include paper presentations and panel discussions, with particular focus on developments relating to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, including CIRP, PIRP and CIIRP.

The conference also includes discussion of the IBC (Amendment) Act, 2026 and its implications for creditors, corporate debtors, resolution professionals, investors and other stakeholders.

The Corporate Law Summit will be conducted in virtual mode.

The summit will be conducted virtually by Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur.

Practice Areas

The suggested themes include the following areas:

Corporate Governance and Control

Topics include rethinking β€œcontrol” in Indian corporate law, beneficial ownership, related parties, hidden corporate control and corporate decision-making involving artificial intelligence.

Related Party Transactions

Suggested topics include regulation of related party transactions in listed companies, minority shareholder protection, disclosure requirements, investor protection and the role of SEBI.

High-Value Debt Listed Entities

Participants may examine corporate governance challenges, disclosure standards and regulatory issues concerning high-value debt listed entities.

Insolvency and Corporate Restructuring

Suggested themes include the IBC (Amendment) Act, 2026, strengthening the insolvency resolution framework, creditor rights, speed and efficiency of resolution and stakeholder protection.

Creditor-Initiated Insolvency Resolution

Topics include creditor-initiated insolvency resolution, CIIRP as a pathway alongside CIRP and PIRP, creditor empowerment, corporate debtor protection and the future of insolvency resolution in India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The summit is open to UG and PG students, academicians, legal professionals, professional academicians and others.
  • Up to one co-author is permitted.
  • Cross-authorship between participants from different institutions is permitted.
  • The paper must be original and unpublished work of the participants.

Roles & Responsibilities

Abstract Submission

Participants must submit an abstract of 300–400 words along with five keywords through the designated submission form.

Full Paper Submission

Authors of selected abstracts must subsequently submit the full paper in both MS Word and PDF formats through the provided Google Form. The full paper must contain 4,000–6,000 words, including citations.

Formatting

The full paper must use Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing and justified alignment. Headings and sub-headings must be appropriately numbered.

Referencing

The required citation style is The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, 20th Edition (2015).

Originality and AI Policy

Submissions found to have more than 10% plagiarism will be disqualified. The brochure expressly states that the use of AI is strictly prohibited.

Registration Fees

UG and PG students will be charged Rs. 1,500.

Academicians, legal professionals, professional academicians and others will be charged Rs. 2,000.

Payment details will be sent to authors of selected abstracts through email.

Perks

The winner will receive Rs. 11,000 and a Certificate of Merit.

The first runner-up will receive Rs. 7,000 and a Certificate of Merit, while the second runner-up will receive Rs. 5,000 and a Certificate of Merit.

The top 10 participants will receive Certificates of Excellence, and all participants will receive Certificates of Participation.

Deadline

The last date for submission of the abstract is September 20, 2026.

The intimation of selection of abstracts is scheduled for September 25, 2026. The deadline for submission of the full paper is October 30, 2026, and the last date for registration is November 20, 2026.

The conference will be held on November 21 and 22, 2026.
