About SOLVENTIA – Journal of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws
Solventia – Journal of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws is a bi-annual, double-blind peer-reviewed and student-edited academic journal dedicated exclusively to the field of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws. The Journal aims to promote innovative, analytical, and forward-looking scholarship that contributes meaningfully to academic discourse, policy development, and legal practice.
Solventia focuses on both domestic and international insolvency regimes, encouraging submissions that adopt doctrinal, comparative, empirical, or policy-oriented approaches. The Journal seeks to engage with contemporary developments, jurisdiction-specific challenges, and emerging global trends in insolvency and bankruptcy law.
Solventia invites submissions from law students, academicians, researchers, and experienced practitioners across disciplines, provided the work aligns with the Journal’s thematic scope.
About the Call for Papers (Vol. III, Issue 1)
For Volume III, Issue 1, Solventia invites original and unpublished manuscripts dealing with Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws, including but not limited to:
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016
- Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP)
- Cross-border insolvency
- Comparative insolvency frameworks
- Policy and regulatory perspectives
- International insolvency jurisprudence
Manuscripts will undergo a three-stage blind peer-review process conducted by the Editorial Board over a period of eight weeks from the submission deadline.

Mode of Submission
- Submissions must be made only through the Google Form
- Manuscripts submitted after the deadline will be considered for Volume III, Issue 2
- The Journal accepts manuscripts year-round on a rolling basis
Categories of Submissions
Solventia accepts manuscripts under the following categories:

Submission Guidelines
Authors must ensure that:
- A maximum of three (3) authors may co-author a manuscript
- Manuscripts must be topical and within the scope of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws
- An abstract of not more than 200 words is mandatory
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format
- The manuscript must not contain author details (name, affiliation, credentials)
- Author details must be provided only in the Google Form
- No table of contents or numbered paragraphs should be included
Citation & Formatting Standards
- OSCOLA (4th Edition) must be followed strictly
- Only footnotes are permitted
- Speaking footnotes are discouraged (allowed only for definitions/clarifications)
- Non-compliance with citation rules will result in desk rejection
Plagiarism & AI Policy
- Permissible plagiarism limit: 10%
- Permissible AI usage limit: 10%
- Manuscripts exceeding these limits will be rejected outright
Editorial & Copyright Policy
- Upon publication, copyright vests with National Law University, Jodhpur
- Subsequent publication or reproduction requires prior permission
- Acceptance is subject to editorial discretion and revision compliance
- Solventia does not charge any submission or publication fees
