About the Opportunity

The Senior Associate will independently handle trademark, copyright and design prosecution, opposition and enforcement matters. The role also involves managing IP portfolios, coordinating with foreign counsel and supervising junior team members.

Eligibility Criteria

• Four to five years of post-qualification experience.
• LL.B. with specialisation or relevant experience in Intellectual Property Rights, or an LL.M.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Independently manage trademark, copyright and design prosecution, including examination reports, objections and hearings.
• Handle opposition, rectification and cancellation proceedings, including hearings before the Trade Marks Office.
• Advise on contentious IP and enforcement matters, including infringement and passing off.
• Draft cease-and-desist notices and replies to legal notices.
• Manage domestic and international IP portfolios.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel on filings, oppositions and enforcement.
• Prepare legal opinions, pleadings and client advisories.
• Guide junior team members and review their work.
