About the Internship

The internship offers practical exposure to corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions. Interns will assist with transaction documentation, legal due diligence and regulatory compliance while receiving direct mentorship from the advisory team.

Mode and Duration

The internship is remote and lasts three months. It may be extended up to six months based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

• Final-year LL.B. students, recent law graduates and company secretary candidates may apply.
• Working knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, FEMA and SEBI regulations.
• Interest in mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions.
• Strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Comfort with Indian regulatory databases and legal research tools.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship experience or coursework in corporate or transactional law is advantageous. Familiarity with FDI policy and RBI master directions is also preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with M&A due diligence and draft or review term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and other transaction documents.
• Research cross-border payments and remittances under FEMA, including FDI/ODI compliance and RBI reporting.
• Assist with ROC filings, board and shareholder resolutions and general corporate compliance under the Companies Act, 2013.
• Track SEBI regulations, including LODR, the Takeover Code and ICDR, and prepare notes on their implications for client transactions.
• Prepare legal memoranda, compliance checklists and regulatory updates.
