National Law University Delhi is a university of law established by Act No. 1 of 2008, located at Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi. Its Professor of Practice initiative brings experienced professionals into interdisciplinary legal education and research under the UGC guidelines.
About the Opportunity
The university invites distinguished professionals to submit expressions of interest, ideas, plans and a curriculum vitae for full-time Professor of Practice appointments. The opportunity is directed towards professionals able to contribute their experience to legal education, research and industry–academia collaboration.

Positions Available
- One Professor of Practice in Corporate Industry and Other Organizations.
- One Professor of Practice in Law & Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Governance and related areas.
Location and Remuneration
National Law University Delhi, Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi–110078. Monthly remuneration is ₹1,50,000 for each position.
Eligibility Criteria
- Distinguished experts with significant contributions and proven expertise in the relevant profession or role.
- At least 15 years of service or experience, preferably at a senior level.
- Formal academic qualifications are not essential where exemplary professional practice is demonstrated.
- The notice exempts such experts from publication requirements and other eligibility criteria normally applicable to Professor-level faculty recruitment.
- Candidates must possess the skills needed to perform the stated responsibilities and fulfil eligibility conditions by the application deadline.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and design courses and curricula.
- Introduce new courses and deliver lectures under institutional policies.
- Mentor student innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
- Strengthen industry–academia collaborations.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, special lectures and training with regular faculty.
- Undertake joint research projects or consultancy services with university faculty.
Nature of Appointment
Appointments are purely temporary, confer no right to regularisation and do not carry regular faculty benefits. They are subject to antecedent verification and may be terminated for misconduct, unsatisfactory performance or subsequent ineligibility.
Application Fee
The non-refundable application fee is ₹1,000, payable online. SC, ST and PwD candidates are exempt.

Selection and Important Conditions
Shortlisting follows scrutiny of applications and university criteria; meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview.
