About the Opportunity
Stratage Law Partners is hiring an Associate for its Investment Funds practice. The role is intended for legal professionals with experience in investment fund set-up, limited partner (LP) negotiations, fund-related documentation and regulatory filings.
Location
The position is based in Mumbai.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have 3–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with specialisation in investment funds.
- Experience in investment fund set-up and LP negotiations is essential.
- Candidates with mixed experience in funds and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) will also be considered, provided funds work forms the major part of their practice.
- Applicants must have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to investment funds.
- Candidates must be able to draft and review fund-related documentation and undertake SEBI filings.
Roles & Responsibilities
Corporate Advisory
- Assist with investment fund set-up and related legal matters.
- Work on limited partner negotiations.
- Advise on legal and regulatory requirements applicable to investment funds.
Drafting
- Draft and review fund-related documentation.
Compliance
- Undertake filings with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
