Kerala Law Academy Law College was established in 1966 and is a centre for legal studies, research, and law reforms. The institution is affiliated with the University of Kerala and offers undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. It has also been publishing a peer-reviewed Research Journal since 1977.
About the Opportunity
The Kerala Law Academy is organising its 32nd International Seminar titled “The Right to Be Forgotten in the Digital Age: Rethinking the balance between the right to be forgotten and the right to remember in a connected world”.
The seminar will provide a multidisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, technology experts, research scholars, and students to examine emerging legal and regulatory questions concerning privacy, personal data, digital memory, and related frameworks, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

- Comparative legal perspectives from the EU, UK, USA, and India.
- Judicial approaches and emerging jurisprudence.

- Children’s privacy and digital footprints.

Eligibility
The seminar is open to academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, technology experts, research scholars, and students.
Paper Submission Guidelines
- Papers must be aligned with the seminar theme.
- The maximum length is 2,500 words, including the title, author details, and footnotes.
- The abstract must not exceed 250 words.
- Papers should follow Times New Roman formatting, with headings in 14-point font and the main text in 12-point font.
- Papers should be prepared on A4-sized pages with single-line spacing and justified alignment.
- The Bluebook, 20th Edition, is encouraged for citations.
- Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, 10-point font, and inserted using the Word footnote function.
- Speaking footnotes are discouraged.
- The abstract cover page should include the paper title, selected sub-theme, author name(s), institution, designation, email address, postal address, and contact number.
- Submissions must be made in Word format.
- References should be included through footnotes.
- Precedents should be italicised but not bolded.
- Subheadings should be bold and left-aligned.
- Only one paper may be submitted per participant.
- Co-authorship is permitted with a maximum of two authors.
- Submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Publication Opportunity
Selected research articles will be published in the Seminar Book with an ISBN.
The soft copy of the publication will be available on payment of ₹200, while a hard copy will require an additional payment of ₹600.

Participants were required to submit their abstracts by September 10, 2026 to internationalseminar32@gmail.com.
The abstract was required to be submitted in Word format with the prescribed cover-page details and should conform to the seminar’s submission guidelines.
