IICA is inviting applications for paid internships at its Gurugram campus across corporate affairs, law, policy, finance, technology and related disciplines.

About IICA

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is an autonomous body under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It works as a think-tank and centre of excellence supporting the growth of India’s corporate sector through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.

IICA provides capacity-building and advisory solutions to the government, statutory authorities and the private sector. Its work covers corporate law, competition policy, market regulation, corporate governance, public policy, finance, insolvency, CSR, ESG, sustainability, technology and other areas related to corporate affairs.

About the Opportunity

The IICA Internship Guidelines provide full-time internship opportunities to deserving applicants selected by the Internal Selection Committee. Selected interns may be attached to an IICA School, Centre or Department according to institutional requirements and available opportunities.

The internship may be undertaken as a Summer Internship, Winter Internship, Regular Internship or Capstone Project. Interns will work on research, capacity-building initiatives, programmes and projects under the guidance of a faculty member or senior staff member.

Internship Areas

The IICA Schools and Centres cover areas including corporate law, competition law and market regulation, corporate governance and public policy, finance and management, business environment, insolvency and bankruptcy, independent directors, CSR and corporate citizenship, business and human rights, regulatory governance, alternative dispute resolution, responsible business advisory, institutional partnerships and corporate communications.

Summer Cycle 2026 Thematic Areas

  • Corporate Governance and Public Policy.
  • Corporate Law and Compliance.
  • CSR, ESG and Sustainability.
  • Institutional Partnerships and Corporate Communication.
  • Finance and Financial Reporting.
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship relating to MSMEs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time students pursuing a course from a recognised college, institute or university may apply.
  • Students pursuing a three-year or five-year law degree may apply, with preference for final-year students.
  • Students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA or PGDM courses in related disciplines such as social sciences, economics, commerce, finance, management, information technology, public administration, AI, cyber security, audit and public policy may apply.
  • Students pursuing CA, CWA or CS professional courses may apply.
  • Final-semester students undertaking an applied research project, capstone study or dissertation over a minimum period of 20 weeks may apply.
  • Young professionals who completed their studies within the six months before applying may apply if they are not engaged in any other employment.

Duration

The minimum internship period is one month. It may be extended up to a maximum of six months on the recommendation of the Internal Selection Committee. The internship may commence on any day of a calendar month, depending on the needs of the relevant IICA School, Centre or Vertical.

Winter Cycle internships may run for up to six weeks, while Summer Cycle internships may run for up to twelve weeks. The internship may be conducted in hybrid mode at the discretion of the competent authority.

Honorarium and Accommodation

Interns are entitled to an honorarium of Rs. 10,000 per month. The honorarium claim must be submitted each month to the HR Department with the recommendation of the Guide, Supervisor or Head of the IICA Vertical. In certain circumstances, the Internal Selection Committee may recommend a candidate for an unpaid internship.

Rent-free shared accommodation within the campus may be provided subject to availability. Food charges must be borne by the intern. Interns who use the accommodation will receive a consolidated honorarium of Rs. 5,000 per month.

Certificate and Evaluation

After successful completion, interns will receive a certificate and a grade based on their performance. High-quality project work graded A+ or A may be displayed on the IICA website or considered for publication in IICA publications.

  • Quality of work and research output: 50%.
  • Initiative, creativity and problem-solving: 20%.
  • Communication and presentation skills: 20%.
  • Professionalism, punctuality and conduct: 10%.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work on ongoing research, capacity-building activities, programmes and projects of IICA.
  • Work under the guidance of an assigned Guide or Supervisor and submit deliverables according to the weekly timesheet.
  • Submit a draft internship report three days before completion and present the work before the Internal Selection Committee.
  • Observe IICA working hours and disciplinary requirements during the internship.
  • Maintain confidentiality and understand that the internship does not create a right or claim to employment with IICA.

Application Procedure

Eligible students may apply online through the official IICA internship portal. Young professionals who are not bona fide students may also apply through the website or by email.

Applicants may alternatively submit the prescribed Form A with a recommendation from the Head of their institution. The recommendation must be issued on official letterhead and sent from the institution’s official email ID to hr@iica.in or by post to the address provided above.

The proposed work synopsis must not exceed 1,000 words. Applications sent directly to IICA Verticals will not be entertained, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
