About the Internship
This internship is part of a specialised project examining the legal, political, and institutional implications of the proposed One Nation One Election framework in India. The project involves comparative research on countries that conduct synchronised elections and explores how constitutional structures, statutory mechanisms, and political arrangements support electoral alignment.
Selected interns will conduct country-specific legal research, analyse constitutional texts and statutes, review case law and policy documents, and synthesise findings into analytical notes and comparative frameworks. Interns will also map practical implementation challenges and identify key lessons relevant to governance reforms in India.
The internship offers a unique opportunity to engage deeply with constitutional law, political economy, and comparative governance while contributing to policy outputs of national significance.
Eligibility Criteria
Students and recent graduates in law are eligible to apply. Candidates should possess strong legal reasoning and analytical abilities, along with excellent writing and structuring skills.
Preference will be given to applicants who are self-driven researchers, capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of intellectual rigour. An interest in constitutional law, governance reforms, and comparative political systems will be advantageous.
Mode
This is a hybrid internship combining remote and in-person work depending on project requirements.
Duration
The duration of the internship is two months. The internship may be extended based on performance and project requirements.
Stipend
The stipend for this internship is ₹15,000.
