The office undertakes research-driven assignments involving legal writing, doctrinal analysis, and structured academic work across multiple areas of law.

The Research Assistant role is designed to support ongoing research activities while providing students and young professionals with exposure to academic legal writing and structured research methodology.

About the Opportunity

The Research Assistant position is a remote part-time engagement intended for law students and young legal professionals interested in strengthening their research and writing skills through guided academic work.

Selected candidates will assist with legal research assignments, drafting support, and document preparation under supervision. The role provides exposure to research workflows commonly followed in academic and professional legal environments.

Mode of Engagement

The position will be conducted in remote mode.

The engagement is part-time in nature.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging between ₹6,000 and ₹10,000 depending on experience and research output.

Role and Responsibilities

Selected candidates may be required to:

  • Conduct legal research on assigned topics
  • Assist in drafting research-based legal content
  • Proofread and format academic documents
  • Support ongoing research assignments under supervision

The scope of work may vary depending on research requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to law students and young legal professionals.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Familiarity with citation practices
  • Attention to detail in academic drafting
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

What This Opportunity Offers

Selected candidates may receive a monthly stipend based on performance and experience.

Participants may also receive a certificate of Research Assistantship upon successful completion of assigned work. A Letter of Recommendation may be issued based on performance during the engagement period.
