The NALSAR Law Review (Volume 11) accepts submissions under the following categories:

  • Word Limit: 7000 – 8000 words

Articles should present comprehensive research on a particular legal issue and provide in-depth analysis supported by relevant authorities and scholarly discussion.

Essays

  • Word Limit: 5000 – 6000 words

Essays generally explore legal questions in a more focused manner, offering analytical arguments on specific legal topics.

Notes or Comments

  • Word Limit: 3000 – 4000 words

These submissions usually examine recent legislative developments, policy issues, or emerging legal trends.

Case Comments

  • Word Limit: 3000 – 4000 words

Case comments analyse recent judicial decisions and discuss their legal significance and impact on existing jurisprudence.

Book Reviews

  • Word Limit: 1500 – 2500 words

Book reviews provide critical analysis of recent publications relevant to legal scholarship.

The word limit includes footnotes for all categories.


Abstract and Keywords Requirement

Each submission must include:

  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words summarising the central argument and contribution of the manuscript
  • Keywords: Five keywords highlighting the focus areas of the paper

These elements help the editorial board categorise submissions and facilitate indexing of published works.


General Submission Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to the NALSAR Law Review must comply with the following requirements:

  1. Originality
    The submitted manuscript must be original work and must not have been published previously.
  2. Exclusive Submission
    The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal or platform.
  3. Copyright Permissions
    Authors must ensure that they have obtained the necessary permissions to reproduce any copyrighted material included in their work.
  4. Author Warranty
    During submission, authors must confirm that they possess the necessary rights over the work and that the manuscript complies with ethical publishing standards.

The NALSAR Law Review does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) for submission or publication.
