About the Internship
This is a long-term, in-office internship based at SVF’s state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Kolkata. It is specifically designed for law students who are looking for a deep dive into the business side of law within the entertainment sector.
Key Work Areas:
- Intellectual Property (IP) Law: Tracking IP violations across digital platforms and maintaining timestamped logs for legal action.
- Media & Entertainment Contracts: Assisting in the drafting and review of agreements for films, music, and web series.
- Corporate Compliance: Supporting the team in regulatory filings and internal audits.
- Research: Utilizing advanced legal databases to provide strategic opinions on emerging digital laws.
Roles & Responsibilities
The selected intern will work closely with in-house counsels on:
- Legal Research: Conducting comprehensive research using Manupatra and SCC Online.
- Contract Management: Assisting in drafting and organizing various commercial and talent contracts.
- IP Monitoring: Scanning third-party content for unauthorized usage of the SVF/Hoichoi catalog.
- Administrative Support: Maintaining digital and physical legal records and managing case files.
