The Trilegal NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 marks the fifth edition of India’s largest antitrust moot court competition. Scheduled to be held from 12th to 14th March 2026, this competition is a flagship event for law students interested in competition law, antitrust litigation, regulatory economics, and market governance.
This competition is organised in collaboration with Trilegal, one of India’s leading full-service law firms, and supported by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the country’s apex antitrust regulator. The moot problem is designed to reflect live regulatory challenges faced by markets today, including abuse of dominance, cartelisation, market access restrictions, and merger control issues.
Participants will gain invaluable experience in drafting memorials, arguing complex competition law propositions, and engaging with legal practitioners and regulators who actively shape antitrust jurisprudence in India.

The competition will follow a standard moot court structure including preliminary rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, allowing teams to refine their arguments across multiple rounds before facing expert judges drawn from the judiciary, law firms and regulatory bodies.
Eligibility & Requirements
The Trilegal NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 is open to students enrolled in LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) or LL.M. programmes from any institution recognised by the Bar Council of India. Open teams, cross-institutional teams and mixed teams are permitted, ensuring inclusivity and diversity of participation. There is no cap on the number of teams from a single institution, and participants may also compete independently of their institutional identity. Students must ensure they meet eligibility criteria and comply with all registration and documentation requirements specified in the rulebook. A keen interest in competition law, antitrust economics, and regulatory litigation will significantly enhance participants’ performance in this moot.
Registration Fee
All participating teams are required to pay a registration fee of INR 8,000 per team. The fee must be paid before the deadline, and no separate charges will be levied later. The fee covers participation in all rounds, access to the moot infrastructure, and event-related arrangements.
