About Faculty of Law, United University

Faculty of Law, United University, Prayagraj is organising YouthNiti 2.0 – National Youth Parliament 2026. The initiative focuses on developing leadership, critical thinking, public speaking, civic responsibility and democratic participation through parliamentary simulations and deliberations.

About the Opportunity

YouthNiti 2.0 is a National Youth Parliament providing participants with a platform to engage in discussions on contemporary political, social, national and international issues. The event will feature simulations of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM).

Participants will engage in debates and deliberations concerning governance, law, democracy, public policy and media, while interacting with other participants and young leaders, diplomats and changemakers.

Duration

The event will be conducted over two days, from 9th to 10th October 2026.

Mode

The event will be conducted in offline mode.

Location

The event will be held at United University, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Registration Fee

  • Students of United University and United Group institutions (UU + UIMS + UGI) can register for Rs. 799.
  • Students from other institutions can register for Rs. 899.

Deadline

The last date for registration is 1st October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Participants must complete the registration process within the prescribed deadline.
  • Participants must carry a valid institutional ID or other prescribed identification.

  • Participants must maintain discipline, dignity and parliamentary decorum throughout the event.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lok Sabha

Participants in the Lok Sabha committee will deliberate on the integrity of public examinations in India, including paper leaks, the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the need for educational reforms. The committee will also discuss the constitutional balance between the unitary tilt of the Indian federation and the principles of cooperative federalism.

Rajya Sabha

Participants in the Rajya Sabha will discuss the independence of the media in India, with emphasis on freedom of the press, regulation and democratic accountability.

All India Political Parties Meet

Participants in the AIPPM will discuss the freedom and responsibility of the Indian press, including media independence, ethical journalism and democratic accountability.
