About the Opportunity
The Privacy Associate will support projects involving the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The role involves privacy assessments, policy drafting, compliance documentation and regulatory research. The selected candidate will also assist with client coordination and third-party privacy reviews.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
- An LL.B. or a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Three to six months of experience in data privacy, cyber law or legal compliance.
- Practical exposure to DPDP compliance.
- A sound understanding of the DPDP Act, 2023, and GDPR.
- Good legal research, drafting and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with privacy compliance frameworks and documentation.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Assist with DPDP Act and GDPR compliance implementation.
- Conduct privacy gap assessments and compliance reviews.
- Draft and review privacy policies, privacy notices, cookie policies and data processing agreements.
- Prepare Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), data inventories and data mapping documentation.
- Assist with vendor privacy assessments and third-party risk reviews.
- Research data protection requirements and emerging technology laws.
- Support client coordination, compliance reporting and project documentation.
Location
WCSF lists New Delhi as its headquarters. Occasional travel may be required for client meetings and projects.
Work Mode
This is a full-time position that will initially involve remote work. Work from office will become mandatory in the coming months, so candidates should be prepared for this transition.
