Society for Technology and Law at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam supports academic research and intellectual exchange in technology law. Through its research and publications, the Society examines the relationship between emerging technologies and the legal landscape and provides a platform for interdisciplinary discussion.
About Synthesis
Synthesis is the Law Review Blog of the Society for Technology and Law. It publishes scholarly discussion at the intersection of law and technology, including contemporary legal questions arising from digital systems, emerging technologies and regulatory developments.
About the Call
The Society for Technology and Law invites original blog submissions for Synthesis on relevant themes within technology and law. The call accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Authors may explore the suggested themes or contribute on other relevant subjects within this field.

- Data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Telecommunications law in the digital age.

Eligibility Criteria
- Professionals and academicians.
- Undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students.
- Contributors from all disciplines, including fields beyond law.
Submission Guidelines
- Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of two authors per submission.
- Manuscripts must be original and previously unpublished.
- The maximum length is 1,800 words, excluding endnotes.
- The permitted similarity index is capped at 15% for plagiarism and 10% for AI-generated content.
- Submit the manuscript in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) with the completed submission form.
- Include four to five relevant keywords and an abstract of 80–100 words in the submission form.
Formatting Guidelines
Use Garamond, 14-point font, bold and small caps for the title. The body text must be in Garamond, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing. Use hyperlinks within the text for references. Where hyperlinks are unavailable, endnotes in a uniform citation style may be used. Speaking footnotes or endnotes are not permitted.
Evaluation Criteria
Submissions will be assessed on relevance, content quality, language proficiency and originality of perspective. The editors give preference to underexplored angles.
Publication Charges
There are no submission or publication charges. No fee is charged for the issuance of a certificate.

Application Procedure
Submit your manuscript through the official Synthesis submission form below. Upload the Microsoft Word file and complete the required author, affiliation and contact details, together with the submission title, 80–100-word abstract and four to five keywords. The form requires Google sign-in for file uploads. Submissions to the Society for Technology and Law are accepted on a rolling basis.
