About RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review
The RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR) is a bi-annual, student-run, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal published by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab.
The Journal provides a platform for legal academics, professionals and students to contribute doctrinal and empirical research in business and commercial laws.
About the Opportunity
The Editorial Board of RFMLR is inviting submissions for Volume XIV Issue I. The issue will focus on contemporary developments across financial, mercantile and allied areas of commercial law.
The Journal welcomes submissions that offer a novel analysis of the chosen issue. Authors are encouraged to develop analytical arguments and provide concrete suggestions rather than limiting their submissions to descriptive discussions.
Submission Categories
The Journal welcomes the following categories of submissions:
- Articles: 6,000β12,000 words.
- Short Notes: 4,000β6,000 words.
- Case Comments: 3,000β5,000 words.
- Book Reviews: 1,500β3,000 words.
The word limit is exclusive of footnotes.

Submissions may address contemporary developments in the following areas:
- Corporate Law.
- Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Competition Law.
- Insolvency.
- Banking and Finance.
- Insurance.
- Capital Markets.
- Securities.
- Dispute Resolution.

- White-Collar Crimes.
Submissions on other contemporary developments in financial and mercantile law are also welcome.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal practitioners, professionals, academics and law students may submit.
- Submissions must be in English.
- Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors.
- Submissions must be original, unpublished and the outcome of the authorβs own efforts.
- Each author may submit a maximum of one manuscript.
- The manuscript must contain a novel analysis of the chosen issue.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be lucid, contemporarily relevant and well-researched.
- Authors should provide a novel analysis of the issue.
- Analytical submissions with concrete suggestions are encouraged over descriptive submissions with generic suggestions.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
- A duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright must accompany the manuscript.
- Authors will receive an acknowledgement of submission along with a manuscript code, which should be quoted in future communication.

The last date for submission is September 15, 2026.
