About Lokpal of India
The Lokpal of India is the apex anti-corruption ombudsman institution established under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013. The institution works to strengthen transparency, accountability, and integrity in public administration by examining complaints involving corruption and promoting stronger institutional governance and oversight mechanisms.
About the Internship
The internship programme is designed to familiarise students with anti-corruption laws, governance systems, institutional accountability, and public policy mechanisms through supervised practical exposure. Selected interns will work on legal, administrative, policy, and research-oriented assignments while understanding how public accountability institutions function in practice.
Interns may gain practical exposure to governance frameworks, vigilance systems, legal-policy mechanisms, and institutional processes connected with transparency and accountability. The internship is particularly useful for students interested in governance, public law, institutional reform, policy-making, and accountability systems.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to students pursuing regular undergraduate or postgraduate courses in:
- Law
- Political Science
- Public Administration
- Public Policy
- Management
- Economics
- Human Rights
Applicants must also satisfy the following academic requirements:
- Minimum 75% marks or equivalent in Class 12
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least two years of study
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in completed semesters or years for UG students
- Minimum 55% marks in graduation for postgraduate applicants

During the internship, students may gain exposure to:
- Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act
- Prevention of Corruption Act
- Central Vigilance Commission framework
- Governance and accountability systems
- Institutional functioning of the Lokpal of India

Mode
This is a full-time, in-office internship and selected interns are required to attend office on all working days.

This internship is based at Lokpal of India, 6, Vasant Kunj Institutional Area, Phase-II, New Delhi – 110070.
Duration
The internship duration ranges from six weeks to twelve weeks, and applicants may indicate their preferred duration in the application form.

Stipend
Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹10,000 per month upon successful completion of the internship. A proportionate amount may be paid for a part of a month.

Selected interns will be provided:

- Internet facility
- Basic office support
Candidates are required to carry their own laptops during the internship period.
