About the Internship

The Legislative Research Internship is designed for candidates interested in understanding how laws are developed, interpreted, and implemented within institutional and parliamentary settings. Selected interns will assist in analysing Bills, Acts, and upcoming parliamentary business as part of structured legislative tracking assignments.

Interns may contribute to preparation of legislative briefs, background notes, and analytical summaries addressing statutory developments and committee-level observations. The internship also involves monitoring government notifications, reviewing institutional reform proposals, and supporting research projects examining the relationship between legal structures and policy outcomes.

Participants will gain exposure to documentation practices used in legislative research environments and develop familiarity with governance-focused analytical writing.

Responsibilities

Selected interns will assist in research relating to Bills, Acts, and parliamentary developments connected with ongoing legislative activity. Responsibilities include preparation of structured legislative briefs, background research notes, and analytical summaries supporting institutional research outputs.

Interns will also track committee reports, government notifications, and relevant judicial developments affecting policy interpretation. Additional responsibilities may include supporting governance reform projects and contributing to research examining how legislative frameworks influence regulatory and economic outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

Law students and recent graduates with an interest in legislative research, constitutional frameworks, and governance processes are eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate strong legal research ability, writing skills, and analytical comprehension suitable for structured policy research assignments.

Candidates with prior exposure to public law, governance studies, or policy analysis will be preferred. Applicants should be detail-oriented and comfortable working within defined research timelines.
