About Amrita International School of Law
Amrita International School of Law (AISL), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, follows an interdisciplinary and research-oriented approach to legal education. The School focuses on contemporary legal and governance challenges while emphasising justice, human dignity, social responsibility and the rule of law.
The Amrita Centre for Constitutional and Jurisprudential Research (ACJR) works in areas including constitutional law, governance, public policy and contemporary jurisprudence. In collaboration with the Indian Society of Criminology (ISC), ACJR is organising the National Conference on New Generation Crimes.
About the Opportunity
Amrita International School of Law is organising the National Conference on “New Generation Crimes: The Interface between Constitution and Criminology” in collaboration with the Indian Society of Criminology.
The Conference will examine emerging forms of crime and the constitutional limits governing State responses to crime. It will particularly consider the impact of artificial intelligence, digital networks, algorithmic decision-making and emerging investigative technologies on criminal justice, individual liberty and constitutional rights.
The organisers have issued a call for papers inviting scholars, researchers, students, practitioners and professionals from relevant disciplines to submit abstracts for presentation at the Conference.

The central theme of the Conference is “New Generation Crimes: The Interface between Constitution and Criminology.”

The Conference particularly encourages interdisciplinary contributions examining new-generation crimes from legal, constitutional, criminological, technological and social perspectives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Faculty members and academicians are eligible to participate.
- Researchers and PhD scholars are eligible.
- Postgraduate students are eligible.
- Undergraduate law students are eligible.
- Criminologists and social scientists are eligible.
- Legal practitioners and advocates are eligible.
- Professionals from technology, psychology, sociology, political science and public policy may participate.
Submission Guidelines
Authors intending to present a paper must first submit an abstract of the proposed paper.
The abstract must clearly indicate the title of the paper, identify the research problem or central question, briefly state the objectives and scope, indicate the principal argument or findings, and demonstrate its relevance to the Conference theme or a suggested sub-theme.
Abstract Requirements
The abstract must be between 300 and 500 words. Authors must also provide their name, institutional affiliation, designation or programme of study, email address, contact number, selected sub-theme and 4–6 keywords. Co-authorship is permitted for a maximum of two authors.
Full Paper Requirements
Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be invited to submit full papers for presentation. The full paper must be original and unpublished, must not be simultaneously submitted elsewhere, and must substantively engage with the selected theme.
The prescribed length for the full paper is 6,000–8,000 words, including footnotes and references. Detailed formatting requirements will be communicated after abstract acceptance. All submissions must follow the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).
Publication Opportunity
Selected papers presented at the Conference will be considered for publication subject to peer review, editorial evaluation and manuscript quality. Depending on quality and suitability, selected contributions may be considered for an edited book, publication with a reputed publisher, conference proceedings or publication through a reputed academic journal.
Presentation at the Conference does not guarantee publication. Final publication decisions will depend on the quality, originality, relevance and scholarly merit of the papers.

The Conference will be conducted in person.

The Conference will be held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for research scholars and undergraduate and postgraduate students is ₹750. Academicians, faculty members, legal professionals and practitioners are required to pay ₹1,000.
The registration fee entitles participants to attend the Conference and receive a Certificate of Participation. Eligibility to present a paper and have it considered for subsequent publication will be confirmed only after acceptance of the submitted abstract. Where there are two authors, each author must make the payment separately.
Important Dates
The abstract submission deadline is 30 September 2026. Acceptance decisions will be communicated by 10 October 2026, and the deadline for submission of the full paper is 15 November 2026. The National Conference will be held on 25–26 November 2026.
