About Justice Sandeep Mehta
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Mehta is a sitting Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Elevated to the apex court on November 9, 2023, his expertise lies primarily in criminal jurisprudence and constitutional law. also Known for his human rights-oriented approach and strict adherence to due process, his jurisprudence has significantly influenced evidentiary standards and personal liberty in India. As Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, he passed landmark directives, including mandating the creation of a Transgender Welfare Board in Assam. He is also appointed as the Visitor of National Law University, Jodhpur.
About the Internship
The Chambers of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Mehta, Judge, Supreme Court of India is inviting applications for full-time, in-person internships for the period June 2026 to August 2026. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and students may apply for one or multiple internship slots separately.
Eligibility
Applicants must fall within the following categories:
- 4th or 5th year students of a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme (B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B. or equivalent)
- 3rd year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme

Mode
This is a full-time, in-person internship conducted at the Supreme Court of India.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates may be contacted through email or phone approximately two weeks before the internship begins. Since the process is competitive, candidates who do not hear back within that period may treat their application as not selected.

- Candidates must apply at least 2 weeks before their preferred internship slot
- Separate applications must be submitted for multiple internship slots
- No internship queries or applications via email/phone linked to the office will be entertained
