About the Internship
Matayo AI Solutions is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented interns to support its growing Privacy, Compliance, and Governance practice. The internship focuses on implementing compliance programmes under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and assisting organizations in developing privacy governance frameworks.
Selected interns will work closely with legal, business, and technology teams while gaining practical exposure to privacy compliance, data governance, regulatory analysis, and client advisory projects.

The position is based in Bangalore.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.L. or LL.B. degree (mandatory).
- Freshers or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
- Exposure to GDPR, privacy laws, or data protection frameworks.
- Strong legal research and documentation skills.
- Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
DPDPA Compliance Implementation
- Assist in implementing DPDPA compliance programmes for clients.
- Translate legal requirements into practical compliance measures.
- Support privacy governance and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Privacy Assessments & Data Mapping
- Assist in data mapping exercises and personal data inventories.
- Support processing activity assessments and privacy evaluations.
- Conduct gap assessments against DPDPA requirements.
Policy Review & Documentation
- Review privacy policies, consent forms, notices, and contractual clauses.
- Prepare compliance documentation, registers, and implementation reports.
- Support privacy-related documentation management.
Legal Research & Regulatory Analysis
- Analyse DPDPA provisions, privacy regulations, and compliance obligations.
- Conduct legal research on privacy, technology, and data protection laws.
Training & Stakeholder Support
- Assist in awareness programmes and privacy training sessions.
- Coordinate with legal, business, and technology teams on implementation projects.
Preferred Exposure
- Academic or practical exposure to GDPR, DPDPA, Information Technology Act, or privacy regulations.
- Prior internships, research projects, compliance assignments, or publications relating to privacy and data protection.
- Understanding of privacy governance and regulatory compliance concepts.
