The firm regularly supports court filings, registry coordination, and case management tasks, providing structured operational exposure to legal administrative workflows.

About the Role

The selected candidate will assist in managing court and land registry processes, updating litigation calendars, and coordinating documentation required for hearings and filings. The role also involves maintaining accurate court records and supporting lawyers in preparing documents for submission before courts and registries.

The position requires coordination with court officials, monitoring hearing schedules, drafting procedural documents such as mention dates and affidavits of service, and ensuring compliance with filing requirements.

Candidates will also prepare status reports related to docket matters and support partners and associates in documentation preparation for litigation and registry-related submissions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess a Diploma in Law or Administration from a recognised institution, preferably with a focus on legal studies.

Candidates must have at least three years of experience working in a busy law firm environment. A valid court process server licence with a current practising certificate is required.

Applicants should also demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and strong performance in similar past roles.

This is a full-time, in-office position.

This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include attending court and land registry processes, effecting service and delivery of dispatch, updating hearing calendars, maintaining bring-up diaries for court attendance, managing court records, drafting procedural court documents, coordinating with courts and registries, preparing docket status reports, and supporting advocates in filing-related documentation.
