About CARCIL

The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) was established in 2019 under the aegis of Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna with the objective of promoting research, policy discourse, and capacity building in corporate law, corporate governance, and insolvency law. The Centre seeks to bridge the gap between academic legal research and real-world regulatory challenges by encouraging engagement between scholars, policymakers, practitioners, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

About the Call for Blogs

CARCIL is inviting submissions for its blog platform focused on developments in corporate and business laws. Students, researchers, academicians, and legal professionals may contribute analytical and research-driven writings in the categories listed below.

The CARCIL blog is a corporate law blog publishing the latest updates on developments relating to corporate and business laws. The blog submission guidelines are summarised below.

Categories of Submission

Authors may submit:

• Articles.
• Case Comments.
• Legislative Notes.
• Opinions/Columns.

Word Limit

The word limit of all submissions shall ideally be between 1200–1800 words.

The title of the submission shall not exceed 15 words.

Formatting Guidelines

Submissions must follow the following requirements:

• Font: Times New Roman, Size 12.
• Line spacing: 1.5.
• All text should be justified, with sub-headings used where required.
• All sources must be hyperlinked compulsorily, and authors may use endnotes where necessary.
• The language should be formal, neutral, and precise, avoiding overuse of legalese.

Submission Policy

Authors should note the following:

• Submissions must be made through the Google Form only; kindly do not send submissions via email.
• Submissions must be original and unpublished.
• Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
• Plagiarism above 10% will lead to rejection.
• All submissions will undergo a blind peer review by the Editorial Board.
• The Editorial Board reserves the right to suggest edits or reject submissions without detailed feedback.
• Once published, the piece cannot be republished elsewhere without express permission.

Review Process

The Editorial Board endeavours to review manuscripts expeditiously and communicates a preliminary decision within four weeks from the date of submission. Authors are requested to refrain from enquiring about the status of their manuscript before the expiry of this period.

Preliminary acceptance of a manuscript shall not be construed as final acceptance for publication. The final decision regarding publication shall remain subject to the successful incorporation of suggested revisions and the outcome of the peer review process.

Withdrawal Policy

Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript from consideration may send an email to carcil.editorial@gmail.com with the subject line “Withdrawal of Manuscript: [Manuscript Code]”. The decision regarding withdrawal shall rest solely with the Editorial Board.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the designated Google Form; submissions made through any other mode shall not be entertained. Blog submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

Each author shall be permitted to submit only one manuscript. The manuscript must be submitted in .doc or .docx format along with a duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright Declaration in the prescribed format.
