The Indian Journal of Contemporary Legal and Social Issues invites original and unpublished legal research papers, articles, book reviews and case commentaries.

The Indian Journal of Contemporary Legal and Social Issues (IJCLSI), ISSN 2583-2824, is a peer-reviewed journal focused on legal scholarship. Submissions undergo editorial review before acceptance.

The Editorial Board includes professors from institutions such as Symbiosis Law School, Nirma Law University and NMIMS School of Law.

About the Opportunity

IJCLSI is inviting submissions for Volume 3, Issue 2. Contributors may submit original and unpublished Research Papers, Articles, Book Reviews and Case Commentaries on legal themes.

Theme

All themes related to law are acceptable.

Submission Categories & Word Limits

  • Research Paper: Minimum 3,000 words
  • Article: Minimum 2,000 words
  • Book Review: Minimum 1,000 words
  • Case Commentary: Minimum 1,500 words

The journal may be flexible with the prescribed word limits depending on the quality of the submission.

Publication Details

The journal states that it is indexed at Manupatra and Google Scholar.

Published authors will receive a Certificate of Publication, and every published manuscript will be assigned a DOI.

The publication fee is payable only after acceptance:

  • Single-authored manuscript: β‚Ή800
  • Co-authored manuscript: β‚Ή1,000
  • Three or more co-authors: β‚Ή1,200

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  • The work must be original, unpublished and not under review elsewhere.
  • Submissions should be free of plagiarism, grammatical errors and spelling errors.
  • An abstract and author affiliation must be included.
  • Full names of all authors must be provided.
  • Citations should follow a uniform and consistent method, such as APA, OSCOLA or Bluebook 20th edition.
  • Body text should use Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Footnotes should use Times New Roman, size 10, with single spacing.

Important Dates

The last date for submission is August 30, 2026.

The journal states that review results are communicated within two working days of submission and publication takes place within six hours of payment of the publication fee.
