LOPM & Associates | Advocates | Legal Consultants is a litigation and dispute resolution law firm founded by Ms. Paromita Majumdar, Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India. The Firm regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, arbitral tribunals, and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums across the country.

The Firm is engaged in a broad spectrum of contentious and advisory matters, including commercial litigation, civil disputes, arbitration, banking and recovery proceedings, and regulatory matters. Through its litigation-focused practice, the Firm provides young legal professionals with meaningful exposure to advocacy, legal strategy, and dispute resolution.

About the Internship

LOPM & Associates is inviting applications from meritorious law students and recent graduates for an Assessment Internship at its New Delhi office.

The internship is designed to provide substantive exposure to litigation practice while serving as an assessment period for potential future engagement with the Firm, subject to performance and organisational requirements. Selected interns will have the opportunity to assist in matters relating to commercial and civil litigation, arbitration, dispute resolution, banking and recovery proceedings, and other practice areas handled by the Firm.

Interns will work closely with the legal team and gain practical experience in legal research, drafting, case preparation, and litigation support.

This is an in-office internship.

Location

The internship is based in Jangpura, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Law students with a strong academic record may apply.
  • Recent law graduates are also eligible.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills are preferred.
  • Candidates should possess analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in litigation and dispute resolution is essential.
  • Commitment to professional growth and litigation practice will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Legal Research

  • Conduct legal research on litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters.
  • Analyse statutes, regulations, and judicial precedents.
  • Prepare legal notes and research memoranda.

Drafting & Documentation

  • Assist in drafting pleadings, applications, briefs, and submissions.
  • Compile records and maintain legal documentation.
  • Prepare case summaries and legal briefs.

Litigation Support

  • Assist the legal team in ongoing litigation matters.
  • Support case preparation and procedural compliance.
  • Contribute to matter management and legal strategy.

Arbitration & Dispute Resolution

  • Assist in arbitration-related research and drafting assignments.
  • Support dispute resolution proceedings and legal analysis.

Banking & Recovery Proceedings

  • Conduct research relating to banking disputes and recovery matters.
  • Assist in preparing legal documents and submissions.
