About SGAC
The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is a global non-governmental, nonprofit organisation representing students and young space professionals. It promotes their participation in space policy discussions with the United Nations, space agencies, industry and academia. SGAC holds permanent observer status at the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
About the Opportunity
The Legal Officer will support the General Counsel Co-Leads with agreements, research and institutional governance.
Eligibility Criteria
- SGAC membership and age 33 or below when applying.
- A law degree.
- Contract documentation and review experience, including through internships or clinical programmes.
- Professional English, attention to detail and teamwork skills.
A practising licence is favourable but optional. Interest in applying legal skills to the aerospace sector is required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review agreements and flag renewals.
- Research legal and nonprofit compliance questions.
- Support policy reviews, institutional documentation and projects.
Work Mode
Remote, with meetings and assignments conducted virtually.
