Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Law College is organising Vidhwata 2026 National Law Fest in Hyderabad from October 29 to 31, 2026.

About the Organisers

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Law College, Hyderabad, is a legal education institution in Telangana. The college website states that it was established in 1991 by the late G. Venkataswamy Garu and has focused on legal education, social justice and equality. The college offers LL.B., B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B. and LL.M. programmes.

The Vidhwata 2026 brochure states that the college was declared the second-best law college in Telangana and ranked among the top five best value-for-money law colleges in India in the India Today Survey 2025. It also states that the college received NAAC B++ accreditation in May 2025 and promotes experiential learning through internships, seminars, workshops, training programmes and legal-aid engagement.

About Vidhwata 2026

Vidhwata 2026 is the second edition of the National Law Fest of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Law College, Hyderabad. The fest is designed to bring together legal scholarship, advocacy, policy innovation and experiential learning through three engagements: a National Moot Court Competition, an International Policy Drafting Competition and Vidhika Telangana – National Multidisciplinary Seminar.

Events

National Moot Court Competition

The National Moot Court Competition is open to students pursuing three-year or five-year LL.B. courses in the current academic year from recognised law schools, colleges or universities in India. Each team must consist of three members – two speakers and one researcher – and each institution may send up to two teams.

The competition will include preliminary rounds, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals depending on the number of participating teams. The researcher’s written and oral tests will be conducted on October 31, 2026. Participants must follow formal attire requirements, and oral and written submissions must be made in English.

International Policy Drafting Competition

The International Policy Drafting Competition will be conducted online and will focus on Artificial Intelligence, law and justice. The competition invites participants to develop policy proposals dealing with human oversight, transparency, confidentiality, algorithmic bias, accountability and professional responsibility. Participation is open to all.

Vidhika Telangana – National Multidisciplinary Seminar

Vidhika Telangana is a two-day national multidisciplinary seminar on Telangana’s legal journey, law, governance, constitutional development, judicial evolution and legislative reforms. Law students, research scholars, faculty members, practising lawyers, labour officers, HR professionals and other stakeholders interested in labour law and policy may participate.

Participants must submit an abstract of 250-300 words with the paper title. The full paper should be 3,000-5,000 words, excluding footnotes, and follow the stated formatting and citation requirements. The brochure states that AI-generated or AI-assisted content is prohibited and that plagiarism must not exceed 10%. Selected papers will be considered for publication in an ISBN/ISSN-edited volume.

Eligibility Criteria

• National Moot Court Competition: Students pursuing three-year or five-year LL.B. courses from recognised law schools, colleges or universities in India may participate.
• International Policy Drafting Competition: Participation is open to all.
• Vidhika Telangana Seminar: Law students, research scholars, faculty members, practising lawyers, labour officers, HR professionals and other interested stakeholders in labour law and policy may participate.

Registration Fees

• National Moot Court Competition: Rs. 3,000 per team without accommodation and Rs. 5,500 per team with accommodation.
• International Policy Drafting Competition: Rs. 1,000 per team.
• Vidhika Telangana Seminar: Rs. 800 for students and PhD scholars, Rs. 1,000 for academicians and professionals, and Rs. 500 for participation-only registration.

Mode and Location

The National Moot Court Competition and Vidhika Telangana Seminar will be conducted at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Law College, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The International Policy Drafting Competition will be conducted online.

Prizes and Certificates

• All registered Vidhika Telangana participants will receive certificates of participation.
• Best Paper and Best Presenter awards will be given at Vidhika Telangana.

Application Procedure

Registration is separate for each event. Participants should complete the relevant online registration form and follow the submission instructions below.

For the National Moot Court Competition, teams must register online by October 10, 2026. The scanned, completed and college-authority-signed NOC must be emailed to vidhwata.dbralc@gmail.com with the subject line “MOOT COURT REG”. Soft copies of the memorials for both sides must be sent in Microsoft Word and PDF formats by October 25, 2026, by 11:59 PM IST, with the team code in the subject line.

For Vidhika Telangana, participants should submit the abstract, paper title, full paper, registration form and payment proof to vidhwata.dbralc@gmail.com with the subject line “REG SEMINAR ABSTRACT”. For the International Policy Drafting Competition, participants should complete the online form and follow the official rules.
