Law Centre-II, University of Delhi, is organising JUSTIFIED 2026, the 10th S.K. Puri Memorial International Moot Court Competition from November 20 to 22, 2026.

About Law Centre-II, University of Delhi

Law Centre-II made its beginning in 1971 at the premises of ARSD College, Dhaula Kuan, offering a full-time LL.B. programme. The Law Centre-II has a 55-year history, with its alumni including professionals from the bureaucracy, police, military, academia and other fields.

About the Opportunity

The Moot Court Society of Law Centre-II is organising the 10th edition of the S.K. Puri Memorial International Moot Court Competition, themed JUSTIFIED 2026.

The competition is a simulated trial moot set under the Rome Statute framework. The theme is “Accountability of Judicial and Quasi-Judicial Institutions in Aiding the Commission of Crimes Prohibited under International Law”.

The competition has been conducted through nine previous editions from 2018 to 2025, with participation from national and international law schools.

Event Details

The competition will be held from November 20 to 22, 2026.

The team may comprise a maximum of five members:

  • Two Speakers
  • Two Witnesses
  • One Researcher

A team may also consist of two Speakers and two Witnesses.

Only one team is permitted per Law College or University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bona-fide students actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws programme, including both five-year and three-year courses.
  • Students enrolled in a Master’s Programme in Law are also eligible.

Mode

The competition will be conducted entirely in offline mode.

Location

The competition will be held at the Moot Court Hall of Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007.

Important Dates

  • Final Registration starts: August 21, 2026.
  • Last Date for Final Registration: September 21, 2026.
  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: October 16, 2026.
  • Release of Clarifications: October 23, 2026.
  • Last Date for Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): November 7, 2026.
  • Oral Rounds: November 20, 21 and 22, 2026.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is INR 3,500 without accommodation and INR 7,000 with accommodation. The fee is non-refundable.

Prizes

The total prize pool is ₹2,11,000.

  • Winning Team: ₹51,000
  • Runners-up Team: ₹40,000
  • Second Runners-up Team: ₹25,000
  • Best Memorial (Prosecution): ₹20,000
  • Best Memorial (Defence): ₹20,000
  • Best Memorial (Victim): ₹20,000
  • Best Advocate/Speaker – Finals: ₹15,000
  • Best Advocate/Speaker – Preliminary: ₹10,000
  • Best Witness: ₹10,000
