About Manipal University Jaipur
Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is a self-financed State University established in 2011. Its Faculty of Law offers integrated law programmes, LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programmes. The Faculty of Law was ranked 32nd in the NIRF 2025 Law rankings.
The Ranka Public Charitable Trust, established in 1980 by Late Dr. N. M. Ranka, Senior Advocate, has organised more than 40 moot court competitions in collaboration with various universities.
About the Opportunity
The 12th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition 2026 is being organised by Manipal University Jaipur in association with the Ranka Public Charitable Trust. The competition will have preliminary rounds conducted online, followed by advanced rounds in person.
The release of the moot problem and registration will commence on July 29, 2026. Teams qualifying for the advanced rounds will participate in the in-person rounds scheduled from October 31 to November 1, 2026.
Mode
The preliminary rounds will be conducted in online mode on October 2, 2026. The advanced rounds will be conducted in person from October 31 to November 1, 2026.
Deadline
Teams must complete their registration by September 23, 2026, at 23:59 IST.
Important Dates
- The moot problem will be released on July 29, 2026.
- Registration will open on July 29, 2026.
- The last date for seeking clarification is September 4, 2026.
- Clarifications will be released on September 11, 2026.
- The last date for memorial submission in soft copy is September 29, 2026.
- The preliminary rounds will be conducted online on October 2, 2026.
- Results of the preliminary rounds will be announced on October 4, 2026.
- The accommodation fee payment window will remain open from October 4 to October 11, 2026.
- The advanced rounds will be conducted in person from October 31 to November 1, 2026.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for Indian participants is INR 5,000. The participation fee for international participants is USD 50. Teams will be considered formally registered only after submission of the memorial and payment of the applicable registration fee.
For Indian participants qualifying for the knockout rounds, an accommodation fee of INR 5,000, inclusive of food and accommodation, is payable after the results are communicated. The accommodation payment window will remain open until October 11, 2026.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
Awards
- The Winner will receive a trophy, certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 51,000.
- The Runners Up will receive a trophy, certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 25,000.
- The Best Speaker will receive a trophy, certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
- The Best Memorial will receive a trophy, certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
- The Best Researcher will receive a trophy, certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
- All title holders will be entitled to an additional 10% discount on courses offered by Lawctopus Law School.

- Teams will receive a confirmation email after registration, and team codes will be intimated later.
- Participation is subject to submission of the memorial and payment of the full registration fee.
