About Kautilya Society, NUSRL

The Kautilya Society is a student-led initiative established through a collaboration between the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, and the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, New Delhi. The Society aims to bridge the gap between legal academia and public policy by providing opportunities for research, dialogue, and policy-oriented engagement.

Its flagship blog, Kautilya’s Take, serves as a platform for reflective and critical discussions on issues at the intersection of law, governance, and public policy. The blog encourages research-driven analysis that is accessible to both academic and general audiences.

About the Opportunity

The Kautilya Society at NUSRL Ranchi is inviting original blog submissions for publication on its official policy blog, Kautilya’s Take. The platform welcomes analytical and research-based articles that examine contemporary legal and policy developments, evaluate existing governance frameworks, and propose practical policy solutions.

Selected submissions, after successfully completing the review process, will be published on the official website of the Kautilya Society under the “Kautilya’s Take” blog platform.

Deadline

The submission portal will remain open until August 31, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students from all fields of study.
  • Academicians.
  • Researchers.
  • Professionals.
  • Individual authors or co-authors (up to two authors).

Application Procedure

Interested candidates may apply through the following:

  • Click Here to Apply through the official Google Form (accessible via the QR code or link provided in the brochure).
  • Submit the blog in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  • The blog should contain 1,500–2,000 words, including footnotes.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, and justified alignment.
  • References should primarily be provided through hyperlinks. Where hyperlinks are unavailable, endnotes should follow the OSCOLA (4th Edition) citation style.
  • Attach a short author bio (maximum 150 words).
  • Include at least two high-quality copyright-free images relevant to the subject within the same Word document.
  • Ensure that the submission is original and unpublished, with plagiarism not exceeding 10%.
  • Submit the blog on or before August 31, 2026.
