The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan supports the judicial work of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India. The office provides judicial interns with an opportunity to observe the functioning of the Supreme Court and contribute to legal research and judicial work in a professional environment.

The internship is designed to provide eligible law students with practical exposure to judicial processes while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

About the Opportunity

The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan is inviting applications for full-time, in-person judicial internships commencing from August 2026. Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Selected interns will receive an orientation at the beginning of the internship covering office procedures, tools, policies, templates, and protocols. Throughout the internship, interns will be expected to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the professional standards of the office.

Start Date

Internships will commence on the first working day of every month, unless otherwise specified.

Mode

The internship will be conducted in offline mode.

Workload

The internship is full-time.

Location

The internship will be conducted at the Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate law students.
  • Students in the second year or above of a three-year LL.B. programme.
  • Students in the fourth year or above of a five-year integrated law programme.

Roles & Responsibilities

Legal Research

  • Assist with legal research on matters before the Court.

Judicial Support

  • Support the office in judicial work as assigned.
  • Participate in the orientation programme covering office procedures and protocols.

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Handle all information obtained during the internship with discretion and integrity.
