Hidayatullah National Law University is organising a Two-Day International Conference on “Text, Context & Interpretation: Navigating Law & Literature in the Contemporary Global Landscape” in online mode on 29–30 August 2026. The conference aims to bring together academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, and students to examine the relationship between law and literature while encouraging interdisciplinary discussions on justice, identity, power, language, culture, and interpretation.

Eligibility Criteria

The conference is open to:

  • Academicians and professionals.
  • Postgraduate and undergraduate students from law, social sciences, humanities, and related disciplines.
  • Research scholars.
  • Young researchers and interdisciplinary scholars.
  • Students interested in presenting research papers.

Registration Fee

  • International Professionals & Academicians: USD 30
  • Academicians & Professionals: ₹1,000
  • Research Scholars: ₹750
  • Students: ₹500

Faculty members and students of HNLU are exempt from the registration fee.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit an abstract of 250–300 words, inclusive of five keywords.
  • Attach a brief bio-note of not more than 100 words mentioning email ID, contact number, designation, and institutional affiliation.
  • Full papers should be between 4,000–6,000 words.
  • Submissions must be in MS Word format using Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and 1-inch margins.
  • Citation style may follow APA, MLA (9th Edition), or Bluebook (12th Edition) as per the conference format.
  • Papers with more than 10% similarity will be rejected.
  • Use of AI-generated content is permitted only up to 20% of the total work.
  • Selected papers may be considered for publication in an edited book with an ISBN after the prescribed review process.
