About Chambers of NPS Hira
The Chambers of NPS Hira is headed by NPS Hira, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, and regularly appears before the Punjab & Haryana High Court. The Chambers handles a wide range of litigation matters while providing interns with practical exposure to legal research, drafting, and court proceedings.
About the Internship
The internship is designed for law students interested in litigation and court practice. Selected interns will assist the Chambers with legal research, drafting, and day-to-day litigation work while gaining practical exposure to proceedings before the Punjab & Haryana High Court.
Mode
This is a physical internship. Selected interns will be required to attend the Chambers in person and participate in office and court-related work throughout the internship period.
Location
The internship will be conducted at the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, where interns will work under the guidance of the Chambers of NPS Hira.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students in the third, fourth, or fifth year of a five-year LL.B. programme.
- Students in the second or third year of a three-year LL.B. programme.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Demonstrated interest in litigation.

Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
- Conduct legal research on assigned matters.
- Assist in analysing legal issues and precedents.
Drafting & Documentation
- Draft pleadings, applications, and legal notes.
- Assist in preparing case-related documents.
Litigation Support
- Observe court proceedings.
- Assist in the day-to-day work of the Chambers.
