The Indian Review of Corporate and Commercial Laws (IRCCL) is a practitioner-run law blog that publishes articles by law students and legal practitioners on developments in Indian corporate and commercial law. The platform covers a wide range of subjects, including competition law, trade law, employment law, insolvency law, taxation law, dispute resolution, and other allied areas of commercial law.
About the Opportunity
IRCCL is inviting applications for the position of Student Editor. Selected candidates will work closely with practitioner editors as part of the editorial team and contribute to the review, editing, and publication of legal scholarship. The role also involves coordinating with authors and assisting in editorial initiatives related to corporate and commercial law.
Mode
This is a fully remote editorial position, allowing selected candidates to work online while coordinating with the editorial team and practitioner editors.
Stipend
This is an unpaid opportunity. Selected Student Editors will work on a voluntary basis while gaining editorial and research experience.

Eligibility Criteria
- Law students in the first to fourth year of a five-year integrated LL.B. programme.
- Law students in the first or second year of a three-year LL.B. programme.
- Prior experience in legal writing and/or editorial work is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
Editorial Review
- Review submitted articles.
- Edit manuscripts for publication.
- Conduct independent legal research where required.
Author Coordination
- Communicate with authors throughout the editorial process.
- Ensure compliance with editorial timelines.
- Coordinate with practitioner editors during the review process.
Content Development
- Prepare writing prompts for publication on IRCCL’s LinkedIn page.
- Encourage legal writing on contemporary corporate and commercial law issues.
