National Law University, Jodhpur is inviting abstracts for its National Seminar on “Next-Generation GST Reforms 2.0: Law, Governance and India’s Development Pathways” scheduled for 24–25 October 2026.
The seminar will bring together academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry leaders, and students to discuss the future of India’s GST framework, with cash prizes of up to ₹45,000 for outstanding paper presentations.

National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) is one of India’s premier law schools and is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year, marking twenty-five years of contributions to legal education, research, and public policy discourse. The seminar is being organized by the Centre for Economics, Law and Public Policy (CELP) and the Centre for Tax Laws (CTL), NLU Jodhpur, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
About the Seminar
The National Seminar on “Next-Generation GST Reforms 2.0: Law, Governance and India’s Development Pathways” seeks to critically examine the constitutional, legal, economic, technological, and governance dimensions of India’s Goods and Services Tax regime.
The event aims to facilitate meaningful discussions on GST reforms, technological advancements in tax administration, cooperative federalism, compliance challenges, dispute resolution mechanisms, and the evolving role of GST in India’s development agenda. The seminar will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, and policy-oriented deliberations involving experts from academia, industry, government, and the legal profession.

Authors may also submit papers on any topic aligned with the broader theme of the seminar.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract Length: Up to 300 words.
- Full Paper Length: 5,000–7,000 words (inclusive of footnotes).
- Citation Style: OSCOLA.
- Language: English.
- Similarity Index: Not exceeding 15%.
- Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors.
- Only original and unpublished submissions should be submitted.
Registration Fees
For Selected Paper Presenters
- Industry Professionals: ₹4,500
- Faculty / Academicians: ₹3,500
- PhD Scholars / Students: ₹2,500
The registration fee includes conference participation, paper presentation opportunity (for selected papers), conference kit, certificate, three meals, and accommodation on a sharing basis.
Delegate Participation
Participants may attend the seminar without presenting a paper.
- Delegate Registration Fee: ₹1,000
Delegate registration includes access to conference sessions and a certificate of participation.
Awards and Recognition
The seminar will confer the following awards:
- Best Paper Award: ₹20,000
- Second Best Paper Award: ₹15,000
- Third Best Paper Award: ₹10,000
