The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata has invited applications for admission against vacant seats in the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.), and One-Year LL.M. programmes for the academic session 2026–27. Eligible candidates who appeared in CLAT 2026 can apply online on or before June 15, 2026.
Admissions shall be made strictly on the basis of the CLAT 2026 Merit List and category-wise vacancy position.
About WBNUJS Vacant Seats Admission 2026
WBNUJS has released the first notification regarding vacant seats available after the completion of CLAT counselling rounds.
The university has clarified that:
- Vacancies mentioned are as on 31 May 2026.
- Additional vacancies may arise subsequently.
- Candidates may apply even for categories showing no current vacancies.
- Applications received under this notification will also be considered for future vacancies.
Admissions shall be conducted strictly according to CLAT 2026 merit.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must have appeared in CLAT 2026.
- Name must appear in the CLAT 2026 Merit List.
- Must satisfy category requirements for the seat applied for.
- Must submit an online application through the prescribed process.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay:
Rs. 2,500 per application (Non-Refundable)
The fee shall be paid through SBI Collect.
The application fee is only a processing fee and does not guarantee admission.

Important Instructions

Admission Based on CLAT Merit
Seat allotment shall be made strictly according to the CLAT 2026 Merit List.
Previous Requests Cancelled
All previous requests seeking admission against vacant seats stand cancelled.
Only applications submitted pursuant to this notification shall be considered.
Conversion of Reserved Seats
Reserved seats may be converted into unreserved seats if eligible candidates are not available.
Future Vacancies
Applications submitted under this notification shall also be considered for future vacancies that may arise.
PWD Reservation
A 5% horizontal reservation shall apply for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates on the total intake.
No Documents Required Initially
Candidates are not required to submit supporting documents at this stage.
Hostel Facility
Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to availability.
Merit List Publication
The provisional merit list of selected candidates is expected to be published on:
