About the Opportunity / Internship
This internship is designed for law students who wish to build practical knowledge in banking and finance-related legal work. Interns will be involved in drafting legal notices, agreements, settlement documents, and other communications used in debt resolution and dispute management.
The role also includes legal research on banking regulations, financial laws, and recovery mechanisms. Interns will gain exposure to arbitration proceedings and matters under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
In addition, interns will assist with secured and unsecured loan settlement matters, negotiations with banks, creditors, and NBFCs, and supervised client interactions. This internship offers valuable insight into the legal and commercial aspects of financial dispute resolution.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates pursuing an LL.B. degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in banking and financial laws and possess sound legal drafting, documentation, and research skills. Good communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail are preferred.
