About the Opportunity / Role
The Junior Intellectual Property Associate role at Intellect Goodwill LLP involves end-to-end exposure to intellectual property matters, including prosecution, enforcement, and advisory work. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing client IP portfolios, ensuring proper tracking and handling of rights across different jurisdictions.
The role includes drafting and filing applications related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, and designs, along with preparing responses such as amendments, oppositions, and rectifications before the relevant authorities. Candidates will also conduct trademark searches and legal research to support filings and advisory work.
In addition to prosecution work, the role involves drafting pleadings, evidence, legal opinions, and arguments in IP litigation matters. The candidate may also be required to appear before Registrars or Examiners for hearings, offering practical exposure to procedural aspects of intellectual property law.
The position further includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP agreements, along with managing legal documentation, correspondence, and internal databases. This role is particularly beneficial for candidates seeking a comprehensive understanding of IP law practice across both transactional and contentious domains.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law are eligible to apply. Prior experience in handling intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and designs, will be preferred. Applicants should demonstrate strong legal research and drafting skills and be proficient in using legal research tools and digital systems. Experience with international IP filings will be considered an advantage.
