Eligibility & Requirements
The MWCD Internship Programme 2026 is open to:
- Women students
- Scholars
- Social activists
- Teachers
Applicants must:
- Be associated with any university, academic institution, or non-academic organization
- Be aged between 21 and 40 years
- Belong to non–Tier I cities or rural areas of India
Tier-I Cities (Not Eligible)
Candidates belonging to the following Tier-I cities are not eligible:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
The programme selects up to 20 interns per batch, and selection is carried out by a committee constituted by the Ministry.
Activities Under the Internship
Interns participating in the MWCD Internship Programme 2026 may be involved in:
- Conducting micro-studies on government programmes
- Research and documentation related to policy initiatives
- Preparing reports, briefing papers, and analytical studies

Participants selected for the MWCD Internship Programme 2026 will receive:
- ₹20,000 per month stipend
- Reimbursement of travel expenses (AC Train/Deluxe Bus)
- Daily allowance for official travel during the programme
- Certificate of Completion
- Hostel accommodation in Delhi (triple sharing with basic amenities)
- Internet access, workspace, and logistical support
Interns will also be assigned an Internship Coordinator to guide and support their work during the programme.
