The Secretariat of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) invites applications from eligible students of Asian and African countries for its Internship Programme at the Permanent Headquarters of AALCO in New Delhi, India.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to international law and understand the day-to-day functioning of an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO).

About AALCO


The Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) is one of the oldest intergovernmental organizations in the Afro-Asian region, dedicated exclusively to the advancement, codification, and progressive development of international law.

AALCO functions as an advisory body to its Member States on matters of international law and works on diverse topics under its official work programme.

Eligibility Criteria


🔹 Applicants must be at least 18 years old
🔹 Students of Law or International Relations from Asian-African countries
🔹 Must have completed at least three years of undergraduate university education
🔹 Third-year students and above with a strong academic background are eligible
🔹 Undergraduate law students should preferably have completed a course in International Law
🔹 Recent graduates are also eligible to apply

Diversity & Inclusion


Eligible Afro-Asian candidates from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply for hands-on experiential exposure to international law.

Financial Support


⚠️ This is an unpaid internship.
Interns must bear their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses during the internship period in New Delhi.

Completion & Certification


The AALCO Secretariat will award an Internship Certificate upon successful completion of the internship.

How to Apply


Applicants must submit the standardised application form along with:
✔ A Letter of Recommendation (PDF format) from an academic familiar with the applicant’s work
✔ A recent passport-size photograph (JPG format)
