The OECD Internship Programme is a highly competitive, global initiative designed to bring diverse perspectives into the organization’s research and policy work. Unlike many fixed-term programs, the OECD accepts applications on a rolling basis year-round, allowing for maximum flexibility.

Where You Will Work
Interns are placed across a vast array of Policy Directorates and Corporate Functions. You can indicate your preference during the application:

- Corporate Areas: Legal Services, Communications, IT, Human Resources, and Audit.
- Specialized Agencies: International Energy Agency (IEA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), and the International Transport Forum (ITF).
Roles & Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will be highly analytical and policy-oriented:
- Research: Reviewing literature and conducting cross-country policy comparisons.
- Data Analysis: Collecting and organizing large datasets to support OECD reports.
- Drafting: Assisting in the preparation of technical annexes, studies, and background notes.
- Liaising: Coordinating with government officials, academic partners, and international stakeholders.
Eligibility & Requirements
To qualify for this prestigious program, you must meet the following:
- Enrolment: Must be enrolled in a full-time degree program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) for the entire duration of the internship.
- Languages: Excellent command of English or French. Knowledge of the other is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Strong quantitative, analytical, and IT skills. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Nationality: Most roles are for member country nationals, but select departments (IEA, NEA, FATF) accept non-member applicants.
