The chambers provide a vibrant intellectual environment where interns are integrated into the core team handling matters of national and constitutional importance.

The practice is known for its versatility, handling a wide array of legal disputes across different tiers of the Indian judicial system. From the apex court to specialized tribunals, the chambers focus on delivering precision-driven legal solutions. For an aspiring litigator, this Judicial & Litigation Internship offers the chance to understand the intricate mechanics of filing and arguing cases in the Supreme Court, as well as the groundwork required in trial courts. The firm emphasizes a mentorship-heavy approach, ensuring that interns don’t just observe, but actively contribute to the development of legal strategies and case preparation.

About the Litigation Internship

The Judicial & Litigation Internship at the Chambers of Gautam Das is designed to offer a holistic view of the Indian legal landscape. Interns will be exposed to a diverse portfolio of cases, ranging from complex criminal litigation to sensitive matrimonial and consumer disputes. The program aims to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the fast-paced reality of Delhi’s courtrooms.

Selected candidates will be tasked with extensive legal research on evolving precedents, drafting petitions, and attending court hearings to observe the nuances of oral advocacy. By rotating through different practice areas, interns gain a clear understanding of the procedural differences between Service Matters in the CAT and commercial disputes in the High Court. This hands-on experience is critical for developing the “court craft” necessary for a successful career in litigation.
