Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLU-CS) is one of the three National Law Universities established under the Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014. The University promotes legal education, research, and advocacy through academic programmes, competitions, and specialised centres dedicated to various fields of law.
About the Competition
The 2nd CCI–MNLU-CS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition 2026 is being organised by the Moot Court Association (MCA) and the Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP), Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in association with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and Phoenix Legal. The competition seeks to promote legal research, advocacy, and academic engagement in the field of competition law by providing participants with an opportunity to argue contemporary and evolving antitrust issues.
Event Details
The competition will be conducted in a hybrid mode. The Preliminary and Quarter-Final Rounds will be held online on 12–13 September 2026, while the Semi-Final and Final Rounds will take place offline on 27 September 2026 at the campus of Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students enrolled in a regular LL.B. programme recognised by the Bar Council of India are eligible.
- Students pursuing either a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme may participate.
- A maximum of two teams from each institution is permitted.
Team Composition
- Each team shall consist of two or three members.
- Teams may comprise two speakers and one researcher.
- Two-member teams will not be eligible for the Researcher’s Test.
- All members must belong to the same institution.
- Team composition cannot be changed except with prior approval of the Organising Committee.
Registration Fee
Stage I: A registration fee of ₹4,500 per team is payable for the Memorial Evaluation Round and Virtual Rounds.
Stage II: Teams qualifying for the Offline Semi-Final and Final Rounds must pay an additional ₹5,500, which includes food and accommodation for the offline rounds.

- Semi-Final, Final & Valedictory: 27 September 2026
Prizes
- Winner: Trophy, ₹50,000 cash prize, internship with Phoenix Legal, and one-year SCC Online subscriptions for all team members.
- Runner-Up: Trophy, ₹30,000 cash prize, and internship opportunity.
- Best Speaker: Trophy and ₹10,000 cash prize.
- Best Memorial (Informant): Trophy and ₹10,000 cash prize.
- Best Memorial (Opposite Party): Trophy and ₹10,000 cash prize.
- All participants will receive one-month SCC Online Web Edition access and participation or merit certificates.
