Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, is a National Law University established in 2005. The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate legal education and is recognised for its focus on legal research and academic excellence.

The RMLNLU Law Review is the University’s annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Journal Committee. The journal publishes scholarly work on contemporary legal issues and follows a rigorous three-stage review process involving its Editorial Board and Advisory Board comprising academicians, advocates, and legal professionals.

About the Opportunity

The Journal Committee of RMLNLU has announced a Call for Papers for Volume XVII (2026–27) of the RMLNLU Law Review. The journal welcomes original and unpublished submissions from law students, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and legal professionals from India and abroad on contemporary legal issues.

Submissions are invited under multiple categories, including Articles, Essays, Case Notes/Comments, and Book Reviews. All manuscripts will undergo a three-stage peer review process before publication.

Deadline

The last date for submission is 6 September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Submissions are open to law students, academicians, researchers, legal professionals, and practitioners from India and abroad.
  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and must not be under consideration elsewhere.
  • A maximum of two authors is permitted for Articles and Essays.
  • Co-authorship is not permitted for Book Reviews and Case Notes/Comments.
  • The plagiarism limit must not exceed 15%.
  • AI-generated content must not exceed 15%.

Submission Categories

  • Articles: 5,000–7,000 words.
  • Essays: 4,000–5,000 words.
  • Case Notes/Comments: 2,000–3,000 words.
  • Book Reviews: 2,000–3,000 words.

Application Procedure

Interested authors may apply through the following:

The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

The subject line should be one of the following, depending on the category of submission:

  • Article for Volume XVII
  • Essay for Volume XVII
  • Case Comment for Volume XVII
  • Book Review for Volume XVII

Authors should ensure that:

  • An abstract of 250–300 words and five keywords are included in the manuscript.
  • Citations strictly follow the latest OSCOLA (4th Edition) format.
  • The manuscript does not reveal the identity of the author(s).
  • A cover letter containing the author’s details is included in the body of the email and not as a separate attachment.
