About National Legal Services Authority
The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is a statutory body constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. It is responsible for providing free legal services to the weaker sections of society and organising Lok Adalats for the amicable settlement of disputes.
NALSA works to promote access to justice through legal aid, legal awareness, and various initiatives aimed at strengthening the legal services delivery system across India.
About the Opportunity
The National Legal Services Authority is inviting applications for its Internship Programme for law students across the country. The programme is designed to acquaint students with the functioning of NALSA by providing practical exposure to specialised areas of legal services.
Selected interns will work closely with the Authority on legal services initiatives and gain hands-on experience in access to justice and institutional legal processes.
Duration
The internship will be conducted for one month (four weeks) and will commence on the first day of the respective internship month.
Mode
The internship will be conducted in offline mode and must be attended physically.
Working Hours
Interns are required to work from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, six days a week from Monday to Saturday. The second and fourth Saturdays of every month are holidays.

The last date to apply is 31 August 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students pursuing a 3-Year LL.B. or 5-Year Integrated Law Course from any recognised university, college, or institution.
- Preference will be given to students in the 2nd or 3rd year of the 3-Year LL.B. course and the 4th or 5th year of the 5-Year Integrated Law Course.
- Candidates should avoid applying during college examinations, as 90% attendance is mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Services
- Gain practical exposure to the functioning of the National Legal Services Authority.
- Assist in specialised areas relating to legal services and access to justice initiatives.
Case Management
- Submit a report on the work undertaken at NALSA upon completion of the internship.
- Travel locally to visit courts and other offices whenever required.
Professional Conduct
- Attend the internship full-time in formal Black & White dress as prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi.
- Carry a personal laptop for internship assignments and adhere to NALSA office guidelines.
