Internship Schedule

Location

The Ministry of Women and Child Development internship will be based in New Delhi, with a hostel facility available for selected interns.

Applications must be submitted online between the 1st and 10th of the month, two months before the corresponding internship term:

• 1–10 March: May–June term.

• 1–10 September: November–December term.
• 1–10 December: February–March term.

Once selected, a candidate cannot apply for a subsequent term. The next application window opens on December 1, 2026, for the February–March term.

Hostel Details

Interns are provided a triple-sharing room with an attached bathroom, bed, table, chair and cupboard. Mattress and mess charges are not included. The hostel is generally available from 2 days before the programme starts to 2 days after its completion.

Selection Process

Selection is made by a duly constituted Selection Committee, and subject experts or faculty may be involved where required.

Important Declaration

The internship is not an offer of employment or a commitment of future employment. Selected interns must furnish a secrecy declaration.

Eligibility Criteria

• Women students, scholars, social activists and teachers.
• Candidates must be from non-Tier-I cities or rural parts of India.
• Candidates must be enrolled in or associated with a university, academic or non-academic institution.
• Age: 21 to 40 years.
• Tier-I cities are not eligible: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
