The Faculty of Law at Manipal University Jaipur is organising SAC ELGAR AI 2026. The conference is being organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Legal Studies at South Asian University, ADR India & MyNeta (Association for Democratic Reforms), and Asia Centre. CAISR International is the research partner.
About the Conference
The South Asian Conference on Election Law, Governance and Administrative Reforms in the Age of Artificial Intelligence will bring together academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, technologists, civil society representatives, and students for interdisciplinary dialogue on democratic governance. SAC ELGAR AI 2026 will consider how technological innovation, changing political cultures, social diversity, and artificial intelligence are reshaping democratic institutions. The conference is scheduled for 14–15 December 2026 and will be conducted online.
Conference Themes
Contributors may engage with the conference’s themes: foundations of democratic theory; constitutional governance, administration, and the rule of law; artificial intelligence, technology, and digital governance; gender, diversity, and political representation; elections, electoral integrity, and democratic reform; and democracy’s emerging global challenges.
Publication Opportunity
Selected papers may be considered for publication in collaboration with Scopus-indexed journals and Scopus-edited volumes. Any publication consideration is subject to the relevant review processes and editorial discretion.

Interested contributors may submit their abstracts through the conference submission form.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 30 October 2026. Acceptance notifications are scheduled for 5 November 2026, and full papers are due on 5 December 2026. The conference will take place online on 14–15 December 2026.
