About the Opportunity
Lily Thomas & Saju Jakob is offering a full-time, on-site Long-Term Research Intern position in Private International Law. The internship is research-based and is intended for candidates seeking long-term research exposure in a professional legal environment.
The selected intern will undertake in-depth legal research, case-law analysis, statutory research, comparative legal research and preparation of research notes relating to Private International Law. The research may cover jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, international contracts, cross-border disputes, conflict of laws and related areas.
Duration
The internship will be for a period of 3β6 months. Candidates are expected to commit to a long-term, full-time internship.
Mode
The internship will be conducted in physical, full-time and on-site mode.
Location
The internship will be based in Mayur Vihar Phase 2, New Delhi, India.
Stipend
The internship will be paid only upon final confirmation after completion of the initial one-month internship.
Practice Areas
The internship will focus on Private International Law, including jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, international contracts, cross-border disputes and conflict of laws.
Eligibility Criteria

Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
The intern will undertake in-depth legal research relating to Private International Law and cross-border legal issues.
Case-Law Analysis
The intern will conduct case-law analysis as part of the research assignments.
Statutory Research
The role will involve statutory research concerning Private International Law and related areas.
Comparative Legal Research
The intern will undertake comparative legal research and prepare research notes.
Research Notes
The intern will prepare research notes on issues including jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, international contracts, cross-border disputes and conflict of laws.
